Chapter Fourteen

I like that Charlee doesn’t want to go into detail, this is our time. Even when the farmhands and I sit around the campfire and shoot the shit, I'd never get into sexual conversations like they would. Just isn’t my style.

We can pick this up later.” I reach for her hand as she bends to grab an article of clothing from the floor. I resist pulling her down and, instead, sit up quickly, placing my lips on hers gently.

“I’m sorry. I’ll come by when Daddy goes to sleep." She pulls away slowly and starts to dress. "I think we need to talk about this a little.
